About Hana & Posy:
Hana & Posy is a full service, eco-friendly florist and boutique using high quality organic and sustainably grown flowers. Hana & Posy’s opened its doors in Old City Philadelphia in October 2009. Kayo, the company’s founder, saw a need for an eco-friendly florist and gift boutique where people could find eco-friendly floral arrangements, plants, and gifts without having to sacrifice style or quality. Hana & Posy strives to use the highest quality, most beautiful flowers that, where possible, are also organic, sustainably or locally grown. For our selection of gifts, we seek to find and offer unique, stylish, and high quality eco-friendly products, including baby, stationary, beauty, home décor, and pet products.
At Hana & Posy, our dedication to eco-friendly practices is a philosophy that we employ in all areas of our business.
- We compost and recycle our waste
- We use recycled materials in our store and office
- Antique furniture are used throughout the store
- Eco-friendly materials were used to build our store, including reclaimed wood flooring and countertops, panels made from eco-resin, and zero-VOC paint.
What’s in the name?
“Hana” 花 means “flower” in Japanese.
“Posy” is a term commonly used for “bouquet” in England. Many of our floral arrangements have European stylistic influences.
