Philadelphia Flowers for Corporate Events and Everyday Office Aesthetic

Posted by: Hana and Posy Posted Date: 07/20/2011

At Hana & Posy, we enjoy creating custom floral designs for local businesses. We have several corporate clients, and each business has a different idea for floral designs to match their character.

We recently started designing the flowers for our Old City Philadelphia neighbors, the folks over at Franklin Fountain. This is such a fun and unique account because when you step into Franklin Fountain, you feel like you stepped back in time. Their incredible shop is filled with details from the past including tin ceilings, marble countertops, and beautifully crafted woodwork, and the best part of course, the handmade ice cream! To create an old-timey look, the flowers at Franklin Fountain are designed in vintage containers, including sundae glasses, milkshake tumblers and beautiful crystal pitchers. Our palette is a mix of local wildflowers that appear handpicked from the garden.

On the other end of the floral design spectrum, we partner with Independence Energy, a firm that is engaged in alternative energy including bio-diesel and alternative energy. The arrangements that we create for this firm are more modern and sleek and coordinate with their colors of green and yellow, with accents of orange.

We also recently sent these flowers to the Executive Editor of Philadelphia Magazine as a congratulatory arrangement.

Vintage and Eco-friendly Weddings at Historic Venues in and around Philadelphia

Posted by: Hana and Posy Posted Date: 06/14/2011

Like a page torn from history these vintage garden-inspired weddings were whimsical and rustic. Featuring lovely, simple blooms in a style that looked like they were just gathered from a June garden, these arrangements were designed in mason jars, vintage milk glass, and antique bottles.

The weddings took place outdoors at Colonial Dames in Center City Philadelphia, Bartram’s Gardens in West Philadelphia, the Audubon Center in Mill Grove and at Valley Green Inn along the Wissahickon in Fairmount Park. The eco-friendly flower arrangements complemented these outdoor historic venues and the simple elegant look that the couples desired to write the next chapter for the rest of their lives together.  Another bonus to getting married at a location like these is the ability to support a non-profit that you care about.  What better way to start things off in life than a gift to a favorite location that supports wildlife or horticultural exploration or historic preservation?
